Azor arranges fully equipped critical-care aircraft staffed by intensive-care medical crews with full life-support systems. We plan the whole transfer, from the bedside where the patient is today to the bed that is waiting for them.
That means flight permits and landing clearances, ground ambulances at both ends and a receiving team briefed before the aircraft lands, all run by one Alarm Center desk.

From the first call to the handover
Medical assessment
We review the case with the treating doctor to confirm the patient can fly and what care they need on board.
Aircraft and crew matched
We select the aircraft, medical crew and equipment that fit the patient's condition.
Permits and ground transfers
We arrange clearances, landing permits and ground ambulances at both ends.
Bed-to-bed flight
The medical crew cares for the patient from the hospital bed, through the flight, to the receiving bed.
Handover
The receiving team is briefed in advance, so care continues without a gap.

When is an air ambulance needed instead of a commercial flight?
When the patient needs intensive care during travel, cannot sit or lie safely on a scheduled flight, or needs to move faster than airline approval allows. If a commercial stretcher flight is safe, we will tell you, as it usually costs much less.
How quickly can an air ambulance be arranged?
It depends on the location, permits and the patient's stability. We start planning the moment you call and give you a realistic timeline straight away.
Can a family member fly with the patient?
Often, yes, where space and safety allow. We confirm this when we plan the flight.
Is an air ambulance covered by insurance?
Many travel and health policies cover medically necessary air ambulance transfers. We liaise with your insurer on approval before the flight.
